Needlepoint Stitches
When stitching needlepoint projects you should use a
tapestry needle.
This is a needle with a blunt end. Needles come in many sizes.
The size you will need depends on the canvas and thread you are using. Canvas size

26-28 As in cross stitch, there are no knots in
needlepoint. To
begin a needlepoint project, bring your threaded needle up through the
backside of your fabric, leaving a short tail of floss out the back.
Work your first few stitches over this tail to secure it. Secure
the end of a row of stitches by threading the needle under the stitches
on the back side of your canvas and clip a short tail. |
